Origins
Both families came over to New England in the seventeenth century and have kept their money together since the nineteenth. That is the part of the history which concerns anyone else.
Record
Known to the families, to their accountants, and to the people who were in the room. It is not a long list and it is not looking to be added to.
Temperament
Slow. The Firm has declined a great deal and regretted very little of it. It has never made an investment because a round was closing, and it does not propose to begin.
Elsewhere
The partners’ civic, charitable and sporting commitments are their own. Enquiries about them are not answered.
